MYBRAIN . Barcelona
A dynamic intervention balancing privacy and openness
Located in Barcelona, MYBRAIN is a thoughtful architectural project by TwoBo, situated within a 1960s residential complex. The design addresses the duality of privacy and openness, featuring a solid volume of consultation rooms and an open space. The fold, a key design element, elegantly resolves the envelope of the solid volume, providing both privacy and dynamism.
The folded skin, crafted from wood, acts as a large-scale screen, while rounded volumes with a glazed ceramic finish define circulation and accommodate key functions such as the entrance desk and staff office. Privacy is further enhanced by custom-designed ceramic lattices, curtains, and plants, which maintain spatial fluidity.
