Vida U119 House
A single-family residence in a gated community in Funes, Argentina
The Vida U119 House is a single-family residence situated within a gated community in the northwestern area of Rosario, Argentina. This project addresses the challenges of designing a home for an undefined future user while ensuring economic viability and spatial efficiency. The house spans 285 m² over two levels and is strategically planned to maximize privacy and openness.
The design responds to the narrow plot distances typical of these communities by incorporating volumetric subtractions and strategic orientations. The house is closed off on sides near boundaries to enhance privacy, while the open sides engage with the exterior through three interior courtyards. These courtyards extend the living space and create visual continuity, blurring the lines between interior and exterior.

The morphological approach results in a structure that appears closed from the outside but reveals a dynamic interaction with the exterior from within. This design strategy not only ensures privacy but also fosters a sense of community living within the gated complex. The project exemplifies contemporary architecture's ability to adapt to specific urban challenges while maintaining aesthetic and functional integrity.
