Curtidores 32 . Madrid
A dreamlike journey through domestic settings The Curtidores 32 project in Madrid, designed by JotaJota+, offers a unique retail experience that transforms the conventional mattress store into a series of immersive domestic environments. The design is characterized by its fluid spatial organization, where visitors are guided through an imaginative landscape of sinuous overhead tracks and expansive curtains. These elements create a dreamlike atmosphere, seamlessly integrating the store's functional and aesthetic aspects. The wooden perimeter that frames each sleep set is not merely decorative; it serves a dual purpose by incorporating both furniture and informational elements. This integration ensures that each area is a cohesive unit, enhancing the visitor's experience by providing both privacy and context. The facade of the store is a striking feature, marked by a large yellow torus molding and a sheet metal staircase. This design choice creates a diagonal entrance that effectively links the street with the interior space, acting as a visual beacon that draws passersby into the store. This connection between the urban environment and the store's interior is a testament to the project's innovative approach to retail design.
