Curved green tile walls redefine the salon interior In the tranquil setting of Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, the SONO hair salon emerges as a sculptural interior landscape, crafted by Inrestudio. The design eschews traditional decorative elements, instead focusing on a singular, continuous wall that guides the spatial experience across two levels. This wall, a central architectural element, weaves through the maisonette, its artificial construction mimicking natural terrain. The ground floor presents a straightforward progression from the waiting area to the service counter, styling area, and finally the shampoo zone. Here, the wall maintains a geometric clarity, while natural light plays across its surface, revealing subtle shifts in depth and direction. Ascending to the upper floor, the space opens up, with the stairwell positioned centrally. Four styling stations extend from one side, with the shampoo area opposite. The wall transforms into curved arcs, reflecting the complexity of activities on this level. The wall's height varies, creating a dynamic flow that enhances the salon's spatial narrative. The material palette of green tile and raw grey finishes alternates, offering distinct visual tones and creating a sense of movement. This design approach allows each function to emerge organically from the wall's form, resulting in an interior that is both structured and fluid.
