TOTTEI Green Hill
Reimagining Kobe's Urban Port Landscape Located at the intersection of Kobe's urban fabric and its natural landscape, TOTTEI Green Hill transforms the Second Pier into a dynamic public space. The project envisions a seamless connection between the mountains and the sea, utilizing the terrain to create an amphitheater-like experience reminiscent of ancient Greek theaters. The design features a large plaza, its edge playfully lifted to form a hill-like topography, providing a bowl-shaped seating area that integrates with the surrounding landscape. The interior of the hill serves as a vibrant hub, extending the plaza's usability throughout the year, regardless of weather conditions. Visitors are invited to engage with the grand landscape, experiencing a spatial continuity from the Seto Inland Sea to the Rokko mountain range.
