Family Villa . Rochefort
A respectful interior intervention in a 1983 villa The Family Villa in Rochefort, designed by Noue Studio, embodies a thoughtful and respectful approach to interior renovation. The project reimagines a 1983 structure, focusing on clarifying spatial organization and enhancing the fluidity of use. Central to the design is the strategic swap of the kitchen and bedroom, which opens up the living space and integrates the kitchen into the living room, forming a cohesive shared area. Enlarged openings in the living room further this sense of continuity, allowing light and landscape to become active elements in the space. The bathroom layout is meticulously crafted to provide a gradation of intimacy, catering to diverse uses and temporalities. The material palette emphasizes natural and durable elements, with preserved and repainted wooden ceilings that harmonize with solid ash and oak joinery. Lime plaster walls and a redesigned raw earth brick fireplace reinforce the villa's identity, highlighting the quality of existing volumes.
