Story

Ecological Integration in a Pine-Tree Forest Located in a pine-tree forest originally planted for resin extraction, Camp Alliances is a residential project that redefines its relationship with the surrounding ecosystem. The design, led by Galán . OZAETA-FIDALGO, emphasizes strategic permeation and ecological care, countering traditional extractive logics. The house is a compact volume, minimizing heat transfer while maximizing natural light and ventilation through its geometric design. A large veranda wraps around the southern facade, serving as both an environmental buffer and a social space that connects the inhabitants with the surrounding nature. Water management is a critical component of the project. By minimizing waste capture and employing a system of ventilated filtered tanks, water is temporarily stored before being reintroduced into the environment via a pond. This approach supports the local ecosystem, fostering biodiversity in an area otherwise impacted by extractive practices.
