Niwa Maitreya House
A serene retreat nestled within an olive grove
The Niwa Maitreya House is conceived as a harmonious blend of traditional and modern architectural elements, situated within the tranquil setting of an olive grove. The design prioritizes a seamless integration with its natural surroundings, utilizing a hybrid construction of CLT (Cross-Laminated Timber) and concrete. This approach not only enhances structural integrity but also emphasizes sustainability through the use of renewable materials.
The spatial organization of the house is meticulously planned to maximize natural light and ventilation, creating a comfortable living environment that responds to the Mediterranean climate. The robust stone facade, characterized by CNC cut profiles, provides a tactile connection to the landscape while offering durability and aesthetic appeal.
