NIU N230 . Campolivar
Innovative assembly architecture enhancing sustainability and precision
The NIU N230 is a typology within the NIU ecosystem, designed to innovate construction systems by increasing precision in materialization. This compact dwelling is organized around two perpendicular through spaces, concentrating daytime living on the ground floor in two distinct atmospheres, articulated by the circulation core and wet areas. This layout facilitates a natural transition toward privacy, separating daytime and nighttime zones.
The upper floor houses four rooms and a fifth space serving as both a distributor and study area. The staircase ascent is a spatial experience, opening toward the exterior and integrating views as an active part of the home. The house employs a warm palette dominated by RAL 9016 white, with central elements and furniture crafted from light oak paneling, offering balance and warmth.
Externally, a ventilated solid-surface façade minimizes maintenance and systematizes the finish. The ceiling features a stretched textile, allowing easy access to installations and potential backlighting, enhancing atmospheric control and interior lighting quality. Structural elements demanding greater resistance are executed in steel, while the interior is entirely in wood, ensuring material coherence.
A key aspect of the NIU system is its assembly nature, allowing the dwelling to be dismantled and reused, significantly reducing its carbon footprint. The building's placement adapts to minor level changes and integrates existing vegetation, establishing a direct relationship with the surroundings. This systematized construction process aims to democratize such architecture.
