Redefining urban living with dynamic facades and minimalist interiors In the bustling cityscape of Ahmedabad, India, UA Lab has crafted a residential project that challenges the conventional aesthetic of apartment blocks. The building's facade is a composition of interlocking balconies that disrupts the monotony of traditional designs. This innovative approach responds to the local climate by providing shade and reducing heat exposure. Inside, the apartments embrace a minimalist ethos, with open-plan spaces that are both airy and light-filled. Exposed brick and soft arches create a tactile environment that feels both warm and inviting. The living spaces are defined by their simplicity, where natural materials and seamless flooring allow the interaction of light and texture to take center stage. The dining area is a testament to the project's commitment to simplicity, featuring integrated wooden details and a seamless connection to surrounding spaces. Meanwhile, the study area, nestled within a narrow alcove, offers a serene workspace with built-in timber elements that maintain the apartment's uncluttered aesthetic. The bedrooms continue the architectural language of soft curves and warm tones, providing a tranquil retreat that supports rest and relaxation. Large openings maximize daylight and offer expansive views, enhancing the sense of openness and connection to the outdoors.
