Reimagining Urban Living in Buenos Aires Located in the vibrant Colegiales neighborhood of Buenos Aires, Edificio Martinez is a testament to innovative architectural design that harmonizes interior and exterior spaces. Conceived by architects Ana Smud and Daniel Zelcer, the building is situated on Enrique Martínez Street and embodies a vision of maximizing spatial diversity through flexible interior layouts and expansive exterior scenes. The design strategy focuses on creating a dialogue between living areas and their outdoor counterparts, with patios and private terraces that as extensions of the living spaces. These outdoor areas are proportionally generous, enhancing the living experience by offering a seamless transition between inside and outside. The building employs cross-ventilation and light-diffusing filters to maintain privacy and independence while ensuring thermal comfort. These elements, combined with energy-efficient technologies, contribute to a sustainable urban lifestyle.
