Story

A harmonious blend of modern residential architecture in Germering.

Nestled near the city center of Germering, the Bärenweg project by delaossaarchitekten presents an innovative approach to residential living. This development comprises four residential buildings that collectively house 31 units, strategically positioned on a narrow, elongated plot between Bärenweg and Hirtenstrasse. The design not only enhances the urban fabric but also responds thoughtfully to the diverse architectural context of the surrounding area.

The project features three nearly identical buildings alongside a smaller, distinct structure that accommodates a two-story residential unit. This smaller building also serves essential functions, including access to a shared underground garage and providing a necessary rescue route to the property. Each of the three larger buildings is meticulously designed to adapt to the tapered shape of the plot, showcasing a cohesive architectural language.

The exterior of the buildings is characterized by a coarse plaster texture, with each structure painted in a unique color shade. This variation adds visual interest while maintaining harmony across the ensemble. Fine white plaster surfaces frame the windows, complemented by white windowsills and external Venetian blinds, creating bright panels that visually connect all four buildings.

Particularly striking is the top floor, distinguished by a profiled wooden facade that extends from the attic on the north side down to the ground floor. This feature not only enhances the aesthetic appeal but also reinforces the architectural identity of the development, enveloped by the robust plaster texture of the two-story block.
