House on Plot 7
A universal dwelling designed for adaptability
Situated on the edge of Vila do Conde, the House on Plot 7 embodies a universal design approach, crafted by ATELIERDACOSTA for a property developer with the intent to appeal to a broad audience. The dwelling's spatial organization reflects a blend of historical and modern architectural influences, notably the floor plan of Casa Sul Mare di Sicilia and the Corbusian domino concept.
The house features social spaces seamlessly connected to the kitchen, a block of four bedrooms adaptable for various uses, and segregated service areas including a garage and storage rooms. Materiality is expressed through the use of basic elements: exposed natural aluminum window frames, wood plywood, and marble interiors.
